At the Board of Elections emergency meeting called at 5:00 pm on Wednesday, September 4, 2019, the Beaufort County Board of Elections unanimously agreed to close the Beaufort County Board of Elections and one stop satellite sites in Aurora and Belhaven at 12 noon on Thursday, September 5^th and closed on Friday due to the impending threat of Hurricane Dorian.

Please be advised, Beaufort County Government is closing tomorrow, Thursday, September 4th at noon due to Hurricane Dorian. The Beaufort County Board of Elections will have an emergency meeting today at 5 pm to consider altering the One Stop Plan for the September 10^th Election. The Board will make a definite decision at 5 pm today.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections is monitoring Hurricane Dorian and how it could affect our office. We are encouraging ALL VOTERS wishing to participate in the September 10th Congressional Election to consider voting during our One Stop Voting Period. The Beaufort County Board of Elections Office, John A. Wilkinson Center (Belhaven) and the Aurora Community Building will be open from 8 am to 6 pm through Friday September 6th.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections meeting scheduled for Tuesday, August 6th, 2019 has been postponed until Tuesday, August 20 2019 at 5:00 PM. The meeting will be open to the public.

Filing Begins - Friday, July 5th, 2019 at 12:00 Noon

Filing Ends – Friday, July 19^th, 2019 at 12:00 Noon

The Beaufort County Board of Elections will hold two educational seminars about voter photo identification requirements at 2:00 pm and 6:00 pm on Monday, July 15^th, 2019 at the Beaufort County Board of Elections Office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite 104, Washington, NC 27889.

Friday, July 5th, 2019 is our last day of One Stop. Our office will be open from 8 am to 5 pm. After 5 pm on Friday, any voter who wishes to vote in the July 9^th, 2019 Republican Congressional Second Primary will need to report to their polling place between 6:30 am and 7:30 pm on Tuesday the 9^th.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections and all county offices will be closed on Thursday, July 4^th, 2019 in Observance of Independence Day. Normal Operating hours will resume on Friday, July 5^th, 2019.
