Absentee Data available for the May 8th, 2018 Primary Elections

Absentee Data is now available for the May 8th, 2018 Primary Election. Data files will be labeled and include data for the date specified in the file’s title. One Stop, Civilian, Military, and Overseas Absentee Voters are included.

Missed the registration deadline? Same Day Registration available during the May 8th, 2018 One Stop Period (April 19th – May 5th)

Persons who are not registered in a county may register at one-stop sites (early voting sites) during the early voting period. Upon completion of registration, the newly-registered voter can immediately vote at that same one-stop site. This process is known as same-day registration.

Sample Ballots available online for the May 8th, 2018 Primary Election

Voter specific sample ballots are now available online. Click on the following link to search for your current voter information and view your sample ballot for the May 8th, 2018 Primary Election.  Once you access your voter information, scroll down to "sample ballot". Click on the blue link for your sample ballot. The sample below shows a D001 ballot style. Unaffiliated voters will be able to view all ballot styles available to them. Remember, unaffiliated voters can choose one party for the primary, not multiple parties.

UOCAVA Election Notice for the May 8th, 2018 Primary Election in Beaufort County, NC is now available on our Website

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot. In order to qualify under the provisions of UOCAVA in this state, a voter must be a legal resident of North Carolina. Citizens covered by UOCAVA include:

Candidate Filing for the 2018 Elections ENDS on Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 at 12:00 noon

2018 CANDIDATE FILING DATES

Filing Starts – Monday, February 12th, 2018 at 12:00 Noon

Filing Ends – Wednesday, February 28th, 2018 at 12:00 Noon

All filing fees must be made in the form of cash or personal check.  Filing Fees above $50 must be made in the form of a check and cannot be paid by a check from a business. Filing Fees can be seen by downloading the “2018 Filing Fees” file at the bottom of the page.
