The Beaufort County Board of Elections will meet on the following dates for matters involved in the conduct of the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary Election.

Tuesday, February 23rd, 2016 5:00 pm (Absentee Meeting)

Tuesday, March 1st, 2016 5:00 pm (Absentee Meeting)

UPDATED UOCAVA Election Notice for the March 15, 2015 Presidential Preference Primary in Beaufort County, NC is now available on our Website

The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot. In order to qualify under the provisions of UOCAVA in this state, a voter must be a legal resident of North Carolina. Citizens covered by UOCAVA include:

Public Comment needed for proposed One Stop Plans for the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary

The Beaufort County Board of Elections is requesting input from the public on proposed One Stop Plans for the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary.

 

The Beaufort County Board of Elections is required to operate One Stop Voting for 113 hours during the one stop period prior to the primary. Three proposed plans have been offered for public input. Summaries of those plans are as follows:

Filing Ends – Monday, December 21st, 2015 at 12:00 Noon
