Same Day Registration Allowed for the November 3rd 2015 One Stop Period (October 22 - October 31)

Eligible individuals may register and vote during the one-stop early voting period.  This “same-day registration” process is currently permitted due to a preliminary injunction granted under a decision by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit, but this option remains the subject of ongoing litigation in federal court.  Please check back at this website for updates.  Click here to check your voter registration status. 

2015-2017 Beaufort County Precinct Official Appointments

Election Day precinct officials are recommended by the political parties and appointed by the Beaufort County Board of Elections for a two-year term beginning in August of odd-numbered years. 

Recommendations were received from both the Republican and Democrat Parties and the Beaufort County Board of Elections appointed those listed in the PDF document below available for download.

Absentee Requests Forms for the November 3rd, 2015 Municpal Election are now being accepted. If you wish to have a ballot mailed to you for the November 3rd Election, please fill out the following form and forward it to the Beaufort County Board of Elections, PO Box 1016, Washington, NC, 27889 or drop it by the office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite 104, Washington, NC 27889. The Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act or “UOCAVA” requires states to allow certain voters who are absent from their county of residence to have special rights that provide an expedited means for them to register and vote by mail-in absentee ballot.
