The Beaufort County Board of Elections has delayed canvass until 5:00pm on Tuesday, November 22, 2016 at 5:00 PM. The Board will not be meeting at 11:00 am on Friday, November 18^th.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections will meet on the following dates concerning the November 8^th, 2016 Election:

Supplemental absentee approval and count, provisional approval and count, and Write In Count

Thursday, November 17^th, 2016 at 4:30 pm at the Board of Elections Office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite 104, Washington, NC 27889

Pursuant to the lawful order of the U.S. District Court of the Middle District of North Carolina on November 5th, 2016, all voters who were challenged by Shane Hubers, Ricky Radcliffe, James Merritt, and Alan Rogers, have been reinstated to their prior voter registration status prior to challenge hearings.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections has cancelled scheduled challenge hearings for Monday, November 7th, 2016. Hearings have been cancelled pursuant to the lawful order of the U.S. District Court of the Middle District of North Carolina.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections will still meet at 5:00 pm on Monday, Novembers 7^th at 5:00 pm in order to approve absentees for the November 8^th, 2016 Presidential Election.

The Beaufort County Board of Elections met on Saturday, October 29^th, 2016 in order to conduct hearings for challenges filed by Shane Hubers, James Merritt, Ricky Radcliffe, and Alan Rogers.

Absentee Data is now available for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election. Data files will be labeled and include data for the date specified in the file’s title. One Stop, Civilian, Military, and Overseas Absentee Voters are included. One Stop files are not cumulative and only contain data from the specified date.

Daily updates will be posted within 24 hours of the close of business for the specified day.

At the preliminary hearings for challenges filed by Shane Hubers, James Merritt, Ricky Radcliffe, and Alan Rogers, the Beaufort County Board of Elections scheduled hearings for the following registered voters on the dates indicated for each voter (either Monday, October 24^th at 5:00pm or Saturday, October 29^th at 9:00 am) at the Board of Elections Office at 1308 Highland Drive, Suite 104, Washington, NC:

The deadline for registration  for the November 8th, 2016 Presidential Election is Friday, October 14th, 2016 by 5:00 pm. Voter registration applications must be received by the Board of Elections by this date. If an application is received after the deadline, the application may still be timely if it was mailed and it is postmarked on or before the voter registration deadline; otherwise, the application will not be processed until after the election.
