Candidate List, Sample Ballots, and One Stop Schedule Announced for the July 9th, 2019 Special Congressional Republican Second Primary

Second Primary Election Candidates

No one candidate received 30% of the votes cast during the April 30^th, 2019 Republican Special Congressional Primary so the candidates have been narrowed to the top two and will be voted on July 9^th, 2019. Second Primaries are also referred to as a “Runoff Election”.

The 2 candidates are:

Eligibility

Republican Voters, Unaffiliated who chose a Republican Ballot on April 30^th, and Unaffiliated Voters who did not vote on April 30^th are eligible to vote in this election.

Democrats, Libertarians, Green, Constitution, and Unaffiliated Voters who voted a Democrat ballot on April 30^th are not eligible to vote in this election.

One Stop Voting

The Beaufort County Board of Elections met on March 12^th and approved the following schedule for One Stop Absentee Voting for the July 9^th, 2019 Special Congressional Republican Second Primary Election:

June 19^th (Wed) through June 21^st (Fri) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

June 24^th (Mon) through June 28th (Fri) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

July 1^st (Mon) through July 5^th (Fri) 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

The office will be closed Thursday, July 4^th.  Please be aware, that a recent law change ends the one stop period on the Friday prior to the election. The Board of Elections will not be open for voting on Saturday July 6^th.

Click on the blue link for your sample ballot. Unaffiliated voters will be able to view all ballot styles available to them. Remember, unaffiliated voters can choose one party for the primary, not multiple parties.
