Public Comment needed for proposed One Stop Plans for the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary

    The Beaufort County Board of Elections is requesting input from the public on proposed One Stop Plans for the March 15th, 2016 Presidential Preference Primary.

     

    The Beaufort County Board of Elections is required to operate One Stop Voting for 113 hours during the one stop period prior to the primary. Three proposed plans have been offered for public input. Summaries of those plans are as follows:

     

    Option 1: 114 Hours

    Normal Office Hours at the Board of Elections Office, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and last Saturday from 8:00 to 1:00 pm. 2 Satellite Offices (Aurora and Belhaven) the last Thursday and Friday of the period 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and last Saturday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

     

    Option 2: 137 Hours

    Normal Office Hours at the Board of Elections Office, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and last Saturday from 8:00 to 1:00 pm. 3 Satellite Offices (Aurora, Belhaven, and Chocowinity) the last Thursday and Friday of the period 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and last Saturday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.

     

    Option 3: 150 Hours

    Extended Office Hours at the Board of Elections Office, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and last Saturday from 8:00 to 1:00 pm. 3 Satellite Offices (Aurora, Belhaven, and Chocowinity) the last Thursday and Friday of the period 8:00 am to 5:00 pm and last Saturday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm.
